No more speculation. Wendy's is headed to Bluffton. The Lima News published the accompanying help wanted advertisement in Sunday's edition, page G6.
It states: "We are hiring for all management positions for our new location. Opening in Bluffton!....
While there is no physical Wendy's in Bluffton, most residents are placing bets on land on the north side of State Route 103 somewhere between Schoolhouse Electronics and Commercial Parkway. None of that, however, is confirmed.

The Blanchard Valley Regional Cancer Center (BVRCC), 15990 Medical Drive South, Findlay, will be hosting three American Cancer Society Look Good Feel Better events throughout the remainder of 2012. The events will be held Aug. 6, Oct. 1 and Dec. 3 from 3:15 to 5:15 p.m. in the BVRCC family room.

The Bluffton Senior Center has cancelled its Western square dancing previously set for July 23. The next Western square dance night will be Monday, Aug. 27, at 6:30 p.m. with lessons and 7 p.m. for the dance to start. Cost for the dance is $2 for members and $3 for non members.

AEP provided The Icon with the following weather update for July 19: A cold front will sink into northern Ohio this afternoon.
With a warm and humid air mass in place, the front will help focus
scattered strong thunderstorms. The thunderstorms will develop by early
afternoon in northern Ohio and move slowly southeast through the afternoon and evening.
AEP Ohio's Ohio Valley and Athens Districts are most likely to experience problems with winds gusting to 50 mph in the strongest storms.

To help support operations of the BFR facility, tickets are available now
for several raffle items, according to Carole Enneking, BFR director.
Drawing for each will be held at BFR on Friday, July 27 at noon. The largest prize is a package of four Toledo Mudhens tickets for the Sunday, Aug. 5, game. Each ticket costs $5. Lariche Chevrolet donated this package for the raffle.
In addition, for $1 per ticket or six tickets for $5, several local businesses have donated items.
