The second season begins Friday for Bluffton’s wrestling program.  The Pirates will compete in the OHSAA Sectional meet at LCC.  The top four finishers in each weight class will advance to the District Tournament in Troy next weekend.  The top four in each weight class there will move on to the State Meet in Columbus. Bluffton High School girls' basketball team defeated Ft. Jennings 53-37 in the Division IV sectional opener on Wednesday. The Pirates face Columbus Grove next. More at www.blufftonpirates.com

Bluffton High School spring sports schedules were released this week by Alex Hanna, athletic director.

Schedules are attached at the bottom of this story for:

• Boys' tennis
• Coed track
• JV softball
• JV baseball
• Middle school track

Bluffton outscored Delphos early and was able to fend off the Wildcats in a 45-41 win.  Averey Rumer, pictured, poured in 18 points. Alivia Koenig scored 9 and Kayla White 8. 

Bluffton closes the regular season at 16-6 and will face Fort Jennings next Thursday at Bath in the OHSAA Sectional Tournament. For more of this story go to: www.blufftonpirates.com

Girls' - Wednesday, Feb. 21 at Bath versus Ft. Jennings
Boys' - Tuesday - Feb. 27 at Miller City versus Paulding, 8 p.m.
   (winner faces Tinora March 2, 8 p.m.)

Monclova Christian visited Bluffton for the first time Monday evening for a boys basketball game.  The Pirates quickly dispatched the Thunder by a 63-42 score to improve to 9-10 on the season. More at: www.blufftonpirates.com
