Two Bluffton High School girls' basketball player, both underclassmen, were named first team all-Northwest Conference, as voting was recently completed by league coaches.

Alivia Koenig, freshman, and Abbie Parkins, junior, were named to the first team. In addition, another underclassman, Andie Schmutz, junior, was named honorable mention.

Bluffton finished third in the NWC with a 6-2 record. The team, loaded with underclassmen, went 15-6 overall.

Kylee Barnett, Bluffton High School graduate, is a member of the Ohio Northern University women’s lacrosse team this spring.
 
Barnett is a junior at ONU majoring in exercise physiology. She will play defense on the team.
 
This is the inaugural season for women’s lacrosse at ONU. The first game is in Ada, at 4 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 27. ONU takes o.n Olivet
 

Bluffton High School boys' basketball team are in the Division III Lima Senior District tournament. Here's their sectional pairings:

(9) Carey vs. (6) Bluffton, 8 p.m.

Sectional Finals
Friday, Feb. 26
(1) Lima Central Catholic vs. Parkway/Riverdale winner, 6:15 p.m.
(3) Coldwater vs. Carey/Bluffton winner, 8 p.m.

Bluffton High School wrestlers finished second in the Northwest Conference wrestling championship held this past weekend at Paulding. BHS scored 243 points behind champ Dephos Jefferson with 271 points.

The Pirates led the way with four individual champions and three are underclassmen. Jefferson and Allen East each had three.

Bluffton girls' basketball team stopped Ada 48 to 35 at home tonight. The Pirates are 14-5 (6-1). Ada moves to 12-7 (4-3).
