Bluffton High School grad Hannah Chappell-Dick ran in the 400m, trying to hone her sprinting as she looks to qualify for the national meet in a middle distance event. She is a junior at Eastern Mennonite University, Harrisonburg, Va.
She ended up breaking the school record in the 400m, racing to a finish of 57.94. It was her best time by more than second and knocked off Lorenda Abbott's record of 58.08 from 1999.
Mackayla Wilson, Bluffton High School senior, will sign a letter of intent to play softball at the University of Northwestern Ohio on May 14, according to Alex Hanna, BHS athletic director.
Wilson has been a letter winner the past four seasons as Bluffton’s catcher. She is Bluffton’s single season home run record holder. She was also second team All Northwest Conference and the team’s most valuable player in 2014.
