Pandora Missionary Church will be holding its first-ever March Mad Dash 5K & 1-mile Run/Walk on March 15, 2014. The one mile fitness run/walk starts at 9:00 a.m. and the 5K at 9:30 a.m.
“Our ultimate goal for the funds raised from this event is to bring more family-friendly, Christian-based entertainment and programming to the community. Last year, we hosted Christian music artist, J.J. Heller, in concert. We hope to continue that vision by bringing more Christian music artists, comedians, and speakers to the area,” explained Dan Gratz, coordinator of the event.
The churches of Pandora and Gilboa are offering food boxes for households in the Pandora-Gilboa School District.
The boxes are designed to provide nine meals for a family of four. In order to pick up a box, you must register by calling 419-384-3038 by 5 p.m. on Feb. 15.
Boxes will be available to be picked up on Saturday, Feb. 22, at 11 a.m. at the Grace Mennonite Church located at 502 East Main Street Pandora.
An American Red Cross blood drive is scheduled at the Pandora United Methodist Church,108 Washington St. (Route 12), Pandora, on Thursday, Feb. 13, 12:30 – 5:30 p.m.

In commemoration of the dramatic sacrifice of four armed forces Chaplains during World War II, The American Legion will observe Religious Emphasis Week, Feb. 2 to Feb. 8.
Bluffton American Legion Post 382, Chaplin Frank Clark has announced the post will observe the sacrifice of Four Armed Forces Chaplains during World War II, during the Sunday, Feb. 2, worship service service at English Lutheran Church, 111 Grove St.
All Veterans are welcome to attend the service, which begins at 9 a.m.
Transport For Christ Second Chance Chapel meal and concert with the southern gospel singing group 'The Piefers' takes place at 6:30 p.m., Friday, Feb 21, at Marbeck Center Bluffton University.
Meals are already paid for, but you must reserve your place by calling Chaplain David Lugibihl at 419-230-3294.
Make your reservation soon as there are only 400 places available and they went very quickly last year.
The Power Team will perform at Ebenezer Mennonite Church, Wednesday through Sunday, Feb. 26-27-28 and March 1-2. They will also present an assembly at Bluffton High School at 10 a.m., Friday, Feb. 28.
Performances are 7 p.m. on each evening except on Sunday, March 2, when the performance is at 4 p.m.
