Trinity Lutheran Church invites the public to attend the following services at 301 North Main Street, Jenera.

Palm Sunday services on April 13 will be at 8 and 10:30 a.m. with Sunday school and Bible class for all ages beginning at 9:20 a.m. Pastor Jeff Bolwerk will preach on the theme “Our Humble King Comes to Save.” The students of Trinity Lutheran School and the adult choir will sing “Hosanna!”

The Pandora United Methodist Church will be hosting a free community meal on Wednesday, April 30, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in the church fellowship hall, 108 E. Washington St., Pandora.

The meal this month is provided by Wednesday Witnesses Small Group. The menu will be scalloped potatoes, ham, green beans, applesauce, roll, dessert and beverage.

On Saturday, April 12, at 7:30 p.m. First Mennonite Church will host the Anabaptist Bestiary Project, with a concert that is also a fund-raiser for First Mennonite Church Youth.

Rocking the world through reflection on creatures, the Anabaptist Bestiary Project is a 10- piece alternative rock ensemble under the direction of Trevor Bechtel that combines the influence of such diverse bands as Arcade Fire, The Story, Ben Folds Five and Death Cab for Cutie.

The churches of Pandora and Gilboa are offering food boxes for households in the Pandora-Gilboa School District. The boxes are designed to provide nine meals for a family of four.

In order to pick up a box, you must register by calling 419-384-3038 by 5 p.m. on April 15th.  Boxes will be available to be picked up on April 26th, the last Saturday of the month, at 11 a.m. at the Grace Mennonite Church located at 502 East Main St., Pandora.

The Pandora United Methodist Church Choir will be presenting their Easter Cantata, “Wondrous Love,” written by Lloyd Larson, during the 9:30 a.m. worship serviceat on Sunday, April 13, at 108 E. Washington St., Pandora.

The worship service and refreshments in the fellowship hall afterwards are open to the public. The choir is directed by Pat Basinger and accompanied by Chris Meyer. The Rev. Duane Kemerley is the pastor. Go to www.pandoraumc.com for further information.

Bluffton Trinity United Methodist Church will host a live auction of talents at 6 p.m. on Saturday, April 5, at the Jenera Park building.

 

The event is the first of many planned to support a new outreach group, Project Hope of Bluffton, which is focused on helping community members in need.
