Pastor Pieter Reid, Outreach to Muslims Coordinator in North America for the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod, and his wife, Marlys, will be guest speakers at the Ohio Circuit’s Lutheran Women’s Missionary Society Rally at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Jenera, on Saturday, April 27. 

The Rally will begin at 9:30 a.m.

Pastor Reid served as a missionary to Indonesia for 20 years and will be speaking on “Bringing the Gospel to Muslims.”  Marlys taught in WELS Lutheran Schools as well as the Jakarta International School.

The Children's Choir at St. John Mennonite Church, Pandora, will present the musical "Blast Off! Discovering the God of Creation," twice on Sunday, April 28. Performances are at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m.

Nearly 65 youth are involved in the production. The church is located at 15988 Road 4, Pandora.

The story takes place in a little girl's dream the night before going to a space camp. In the dream Rudy and her two siblings find themselves in a space shuttle flying through the atmosphere.

The Westhuizen Piano Duo will conclude The First Presbyterian Church, 33rd Artist Series season. The performance is at 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 28, in the sanctuary at the First Presbyterian Church, 2330 South Main St., Findlay. The concert is free and open to the public; a free-will offering will be received.

Ebenezer Mennonite Church has announced a pastoral change this month. Bluffton native, Jim King, co-pastor of the congregation, was named senior pastor. Dick Potter, also co-pastor, is now the assistant pastor part-time as he has entered semi-retirement.

Prior to his pastoral duties at Ebenezer Mennonite, King served for 34 years as director of Bluffton-Pandora Youth for Christ. He became co-pastor in September 2008.
