The Emmanuel United Church of Christ, 8375 Phillips Road, Bluffton, will hold an ice cream social - homemade food dinner from 4-7 p.m., Friday, July 19, at the church. Tickets are $7 for adults and $4 for youth 10 and under.
Riley Creek Baptist Church, 4950 Township Road 27, Bluffton, offers four "Summer Blasts!" for youth in Kindergarten through sixth grade this summer.
The "blasts" are Friday, July 12, July 19, July 26 and Aug. 2. The events are from 2 to 7 p.m. with supper includes plus games, crafts and field trips.

"In this study we will look at how Jesus has been 'pictured' and understood in the media, in the Creeds of the Church, and in the New Testament writings, trying to discover what Jesus can mean for us living in the 21st century," said Rev. Kevin Mohr, pastor.
