June 16 farewell for Justin Eternick, Trinity principal

Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 301 N. Main St., Jenera, has returned to every Sunday in-person worship services.

The Sunday times are 8 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. with Bible Classes for adults and teens beginning at 9:20 a.m.  There will be no Sunday School for children during the summer months.

Tuesday evening services  begin  June 16 at 7:30 p.m. The Tuesday service will be a casual, abbreviated version of the Sunday before. A video of the service will be available beginning on Sunday evenings at www.tlsjenera.org

This year's event spread over five weeks with the theme "Who is my neighbor?"

Drive-thrus aren’t just for fast food.

The pandemic-adapted Bluffton Community Vacation Bible School will lead children on a discovery of Who Is My Neighbor? Learning to Love Like Jesus over five weeks this summer.

Children will complete each session in their own homes.

Spreading out VBS over the course of five weeks instead of five consecutive days is intended to give children and families something to look forward to throughout our pandemic summer days.

English Lutheran Church, 111 Grove St., Bluffton, will begin in-person worship on Sunday, June 7, according to Kevin Mohr, pastor.

The worship service, with COVID-19 social distancing seating and other precautions in place, will take place simultaneously live in the sanctuary (face-masks required for ages 12 and up), and live-streamed on Facebook in the fellowship hall (face masks encouraged but optional), beginning at 9 a.m.

Holy Communion, with hygiene precautions, will be offered for those comfortable with partaking of the sacrament at this time.
