Bluffton Presbyterian Church will hold a community picnic from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 22, at the church on the corner of Main and Cherry streets.
The free picnic includes shredded chicken sandwiches and hotdogs, cookies, snacks, drinks, music and games.

Chrissy Lugibihl, manager of Et Cetera Shop, shares information about the Main Street business with several Bluffton University students. Bluffton's annual business showcase, sponsored by the Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce, provided an opportunity for members to introduce their shops and services to university students. The event was over the lunch hour in Marbeck Center.
Tickets are stil available for the 7 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 19, performance by Boston-based a cappella group Ball in the House in Bluffton University’s Yoder Recital Hall.
Averaging 200 shows a year, the high energy group performs R&B, soul and pop hits during shows that have audiences singing, dancing and beatboxing along.
The 5-man group promises “music that’ll move ya” and have opened for some of the biggest acts in the world including The Jonas Brothers, The Beach Boys and The Temptations.

Women’s golf
The Bluffton University women's golf team shaved 16 strokes off its Saturday score at the Heidelberg Women's Fall Invitational when the Beavers shot a 379 on Sunday, Sept. 15, 2019. Bluffton finished the weekend with a 774 at Mohawk Golf & Country Club, good for 2nd all-time.
