Since 1997 Robert B. Parker, the author of the wildly popular “Spenser” suspense novels, has developed another character that has stood the test of time and become a person to pay attention to. Starting with “Night Passage” in 1997, Jesse Stone became Chief of the Paradise, Massachusetts Police, leaving California with its problems born of drinking. Jesse is an alcoholic whose main problems center on Jenn, his ex-wife that he obsessives over.
The Bluffton University women's soccer team traveled to West Virginia for a matchup with Bethany College on Saturday, Sept. 25, 2021. The Beavers netted a score in each period en route to the 2-0 shutout victory over the Bison. Bluffton improved to 3-4 on the season, while Bethany slipped to 4-3 overall.
The Bluffton University men's soccer team traveled to Chicago, Ill. for its second trip to the Windy City in the past two weeks. Bluffton downed the home team 3-1 as the Beavers improved to 4-2 on the season.
Although Moody went on top 1-0 just over two minutes into the contest, a Dalton Taynor (Troy/Miami East) tally knotted it up less than 30 seconds later. Elijah Zimmerman (Archbold) put the visitors up for good in minute seven and Taynor iced it with his ninth goal of the season early in the second half.
The Bluffton University volleyball team defeated Capital in four sets before host Ohio Northern swept the Beavers on Saturday, Sept. 25, 2021. Bluffton moved to 8-10 on the season heading into conference play next Saturday.
