A winter sports parent meeting takes place at 7 p.m., Monday, Oct. 29, in the Bluffton High School gym. Any 7th through 12th grader participating in winter sports is required to attend with a parent and/or guardian.
Two special events take place this week in the Bluffton elementary.
ELEMENTARY BOOK FAIR: The book fair is this week. Daily hours: 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Friday. Family Night is Tuesday, from 6 until 8 p.m.

The 2018 Lady Pirate soccer campaign came to a close in the OHSAA District Quarterfinal at Ashland Crestview by a 5-0 count. Bluffton trailed 3-0 at the half.
The Cougars improved to 15-1-1 with the win. Bluffton ends the year at 7-5-5.
The game was the final one for seniors Averey Rumer, Sarah Cartwright and Kailey Mault.

Senior Tanner Pinks just missed out on advancing to regionals as the Bluffton cross country season came to an end in the OHSAA District Meet.
Pinks was the top Pirate, finishing in 18th place. Individuals finishing in the top 16 qualify for Regionals. As a team, the Pirates finished in sixth place.
