The Bluffton Senior Center is sponsoring a trip to Oberammergau’s Passion Play and the Tyrol region May 20-30, 2020.

"The 11-day trip includes roundtrip transportation from Bluffton to Chicago O’Hare airport, roundtrip airfare, the passion play with the official program, cable car ride up to the Kitzbuhler Alps, meet and greet with a local farmer and visits to Salzburg and Innsbruck to name just some of the highlights of this wonderful trip," said Tonya Meyer, center director,

Alice Ruth Ramseyer, 89, of Bluffton, died November 5, 2018, at Mercy Health – St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima.  Services will be held at 11a.m. on Friday, Nov. 9, at First Mennonite Church, Bluffton. 

Visitation will be Thursday from 5 – 7 p.m. at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bluffton. 

Arrangements are incomplete at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bluffton.

The Pandora United Methodist Church hosts  a free community meal on Wednesday, Nov. 14, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in the church fellowship hall, 108 E. Washington St., Pandora.  

The meal this month is provided by the First National Bank of Pandora. The menu is shredded chicken sandwich, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, dinner roll, assorted desserts, and beverage.

It's not a bull in a china shop. It's Harry the Hereford in The Dough Hook. His appearance on Saturday was part of the downtown deli's 10th anniversary. Customers were literally standing outside waiting in line for some special deals carrying 2008 prices.

Bluffton’s Spiritual Life Week focus

Students ‘reimagine’ the Church during Bluffton’s Spiritual Life Week.

Using the theme “Reimagining the Church: Looking Back to Move Forward” as inspiration, Bluffton University students explored the relevance of the Church in the modern era during Spiritual Life Week. The week-long, student-led examination of faith is held each semester on Bluffton’s campus.

For Jenny Dorsey, a Bible and theology major from Hilliard, Ohio, and chair of the Spiritual Life Week Committee, the topic is of vital importance.
