Monday at Mercy Health-St. Rita's

About one-third of Americans experience heartburn – a burning pain in your esophagus – at least once a month. Other feel that pain even more regularly.
 
Mercy Health specialists Dr. Jason Bowersock and Dr. Jayde Kurland are offering a free informational seminar for anyone with or interested about the symptoms of heartburn. This seminar will be taking place on Monday, Nov. 5, between 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. at Lima Mercy Health - St. Rita’s 718 building, first floor, Auxiliary Conference room #3.
 

Bluffton University will host a concert featuring its Jazz Ensemble and Gospel Choir at 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, in Yoder Recital Hall. The performance is free and open to the public; a free-will offering will be taken during intermission for music scholarships.

BHS Drama Club's fall production is Nov. 9-10

The cast is announced for the Bluffton High School Drama Club’s November product “Free Ice Cream,” according to Kevin Gratz, director.

Three new board members appointed

The Bluffton University Board of Trustees approved the next step in project development for a new science building, granted emeritus status to a retired professor and accepted four new endowed scholarships during their October 2018 board meeting.
 

5 to 9 p.m. on Friday downtown Findlay

Several residents of Maple Crest Senior Living Village and Mennonite Memorial Home Cottages are exhibiting artwork during downtown Findlay’s ArtWalk. 

The semi-annual event will take place on Friday, Nov. 2, from 5-9 p.m. throughout the downtown area.  The Findlay Art League and The Jones Building Artists are featured stops during the evening.

Robert Hower, Judy Rodabaugh and Nancy Williamson, Maple Crest, and Della Salter and Rhody Hartman, Mennonite Cottages, are showcasing their art in Studio 18 in The Jones Building, 400-1/2 S. Main Street.
