The Bluffton High School football team will be on the hunt for their first winning season since 2015 when they take the field Friday August 24 at Cory-Rawson. The Pirates finished 4-6 last season including a dramatic road win over Columbus Grove in the season finale.
Mary Ann Sullivan, professor emerita Bluffton University, 77, died on Aug. 22, 2018, at her home in Lima, Ohio.
Mary Ann was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, on July 30, 1941, to Raymond W. Miller and Martha Mildred (Cordray) Miller, who preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Bill Sullivan, and by her brother, Douglas Miller of Omaha, Nebraska.

Aaron Maidlow is the new administrator of Vancrest of Ada. Today, he was found serving pancakes for National Senior Citizens Day. Vancrest invited the community and its residents to a full breakfast at the $6 million facility that opened in May of 2016 and filled rapidly.
Maidlow comes to Ada having served with Autumn Court Healthcare Center in Ottawa and Cridersville Healthcare Center. He and his wife Andrea are the parents of three children, Kaedence, 6, Emmett, 4, and Camry, 1. The family lives in Ottawa.
