FRANKLIN, Ind. - The Bluffton University baseball team lost its first-ever Heartland Conference tournament game but it made its fans proud in an 8-5 loss to Manchester University on May 10, 2018. Bluffton stands 21-17 overall and the Beavers will face the loser of Anderson vs. Rose-Hulman at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, May 11, 2018.

Postal patrons may place non-perishable food donations near their mailbox for pick up

Bluffton postal carrier will pick up non-perishable food donations in its "Stamp Out Hunger" drive on Saturday, May 12.

Postal patrons may place donations near their mailbox on Saturday. Donations in the  drive will assist the Bluffton Community Assistance Program's food pantry.

Adel Sommers  is participating in a Bluffton University cross-cultural experience in Iceland during the month of May.

Sommers, along with other Bluffton students, will experience an island nation,
which has made great strides toward building a nonviolent, ecologically sustainable and egalitarian society.

Sommers, daughter of Cindy and Tom Sommers, is a junior majoring in business
administration with a concentration in human resources. She was a 2015
graduate of Bluffton High School.

The Hancock Historical Museum is sponsoring a Historic Taste of Detroit Tour on Wednesday, June 13.

Participants will learn more about the historical development of Detroit, how the influences of several immigrant populations have shaped the culinary landscape in this now trendy “foodie” locale, tour prominent architectural landmarks, and sample delicious cuisine around the city.

MMH employee will attend University of Cincinnati's College of Nursing this fall

A mission trip to Peru changed Karis Wilson’s mind about her choice of careers.

“I had always wanted to be a lawyer, since I love to read,” said Wilson.  “After volunteering in a medical clinic in Peru, I realized how much I like to help people and how much they rely on and appreciate health care workers. Now I’m going into nursing.”

A 2018 graduate of Bluffton High School and Mennonite Memorial Home (MMH) employee, Wilson is the winner of the Barbara Fleming Memorial Scholarship sponsored by Mennonite Home Communities of Ohio (MHCO). 

Bluffton native Daniel D. Fultz, PhD., is a 2018 Alumni Circle of Excellence inductee at a ceremony May 5 at Rhodes State College, Lima.

Fultz graduated with an associate of technical studies degree from Lima Technical College in 1993. He is a Bluffton High School graduate, Bluffton University graduate and former faculty member.
