The Creating Healthy Communities (CHC) Program of Allen County Public Health recently partners with MOVE Safe Allen County to provide communication education for bike and pedestrian safety.

John Betts of Bryan and father of David Betts, one of seven people killed in the Bluffton University March 2, 2007, bus crash, is the special guest at Wings of Hope, held later this spring in Sylvania.

Steven "Bear" D. Leiber, 51, died at 12:52 p.m., March 27, 2018, at Vancrest Nursing Home of Ada. Steve was born July 2, 1966, in Bluffton to Dwain and LouAnn (Seever) Leiber.
Bear was injured 13 years ago from a snowmobile accident. He was a 1985 graduate of Bluffton High School and had worked at DTR Industries in Bluffton.
Bluffton University will host the annual Riley Creek Festival from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday, April 14, in the Sommer Center.
Free and open to the public, the festival will feature block-party-style events including: family-friendly inflatables, games and other activities. The event will conclude with the traditional rubber duck race on Riley Creek starting at 4 p.m. Rubber ducks will be sold for $1 each, with proceeds to benefit the Bluffton food pantry. Duck race winners will receive prizes donated by local businesses.
The Bluffton University art department will present the 51st Juried Student Exhibition from April 9-May 6 in the Grace Albrecht Gallery in Sauder Visual Arts Center. The exhibition, which is free and open to the public, will showcase work created this academic year by students in university art classes or supervised independent studies.
Gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays and 1-5 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.
