In light of the icy weather forecasted for su day, the Bluffton University art department is postponing the Goshen College faculty exhibition reception to next Sunday, Feb. 18, from 1-3 p.m.

An artist talk will be offered at 1:15 p.m., and all are welcome to attend. A&L credit, coffee and finger foods will also be provided.
 

Lima-built Berkshire frequently passed through Bluffton

The Mad River and Nickel Plate Road Railroad Museum, Bellevue, announced plans to have NKP Berkshire steam locomotive 757 return to Bellevue.

The Lima-built steam locomotive that once passed through Bluffton on a regular basis, is currently part of the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania.

Plans are underway to relocate the locomotive from Strasburg, Pa., to the Bellevue museum site for a static display.

DEFIANCE, Ohio - The Bluffton University track and field team started Meet One of its split meet competition Friday night at the Defiance College Dick Small Memorial Invitational while those who qualified will compete Saturday in the All-Ohio Championship. Tonight’s athletes set the tone for a potentially outstanding weekend.

The prize is two tickets to the "Revenge of Frankenstein," murder mystery dinner theatre at 6 p.m., Saturday, March 10, at The Centre of Bluffton. The prize value is $85. In the event of a tie, the winner will be the earliest entry submitted.

Feb 23 university colloquium topic

Dr. Stephen Harnish, mathematical and natural sciences department chair at Bluffton University, will present the colloquium, “‘Much Ado About Nothing’: Empty Space and Its Glorious Imperfections,” at 4 p.m. on Feb. 23 in Centennial Hall’s Stutzman Lecture Hall.
 
According to Oxford University physicist Frank Close, “Nothing is not as simple as it seems.” Harnish will explore this phrase in relation to the void of space.
