Bluffton’s Lions Way Bentley Road Pathway had it christening on Tuesday. The celebration recognized the .9 mile extension of the pathway project, now it its ninth year.
The event recognizes the pathway extension from Augsburger-Elm south along Bentley Road to the bridge near Kibler Street.
Prior to the Bentley pathway's existence, this heavily foot-trafficked road had no sidewalk or designation for non-vehicular traffic.
The Village of Bluffton official trick-or-treat night is from 6 to 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 25, according to Richard Johnson, Bluffton mayor.

The Bluffton University volleyball team overcame Mount St. Joseph and injuries to stay perfect in the Heartland Conference with a five-set victory in the Sommer Center on Wednesday, Oct. 3.
Bluffton improved to 10-9 on the season and 2-0 in the HCAC, while MSJ fell to 6-11 and 0-2 in the conference.
Bluffton Democrats will host two forums for independent or undecided voters next week, according to Wendy Chappel-Dick.
"These forums are for civil discourse intended to enhance understanding, and members of the Democratic party will be there to answer questions," she added.
The events are Tuesday, Oct. 9, and Wednesday, Oct. 10, from 7:30 - 8:30 p.m. at the Bluffton town hall, 154 N. Main St.
Attorney Micaela Deming will moderate. There is no charge, and all are welcome.
