Historians are generally quiet about actual Santa Claus sighting in Bluffton.

Credible sightings are as arguable as what the cat saw when it crossed the desert. (see footnote)

The following evidence is for viewer consideration.

Here's some of the Christmas memories from my youth; what are your's?

No question about it.

My memories of the best Christmas ever come in a package wrapped from stores
located in the Lima public square.

I know. It’s sounds impossible to viewers born after Neil A. walked on the moon;
but it’s true.

There was nothing...nothing like going to Lima and shopping downtown for
Christmas in the 1950s.

Town and Country Flowers on North Main Street never disappoint window shoppers at Christmas. Here's a section of one of their two windows. The Icon encourages viewers to take a nighttime stroll down Main and view all the retail store windows.

Four Bluffton families can claim the best holiday lighting decorations in 2017.

• First Place and a prize of $200 goes to Paul and Vicki Gesler of 347 Sycamore Ct.

• Second Place and a prize of $150 goes to Dave and Jenny Roby of 431 Cherry St.

• Third Place and a prize of $75 goes to Mark and Debbie Dulle of 423 Ethan Circle.

Farthing Real Estate and Auctioneers, Findlay, announce an estate auction of real estate and estate items of the late Ricky Weyer to be held Thursday, Dec. 28.

The auction for personal property starts at 11 a.m. The auction for real estate starts at 5 p.m., all on the premises at 275 County Road 313, Bluffton.
