Discussion on Monday's council agenda

Bluffton has received a $20,000 NatureWorks grant from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources. The grant enables the village to replace the existing restroom at the Buckeye Park.

Bluffton University English Festival Nov. 21

Andrew Hudgins and Erin McGraw, emeritus professors of English from The Ohio State University, will present, "Being Smarter Than You Are: A Conversation with Two Writers About Writing," at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 21, in Yoder Recital Hall.
 
The Forum is part of Bluffton’s 34th annual English Festival where high school students are invited to spend the day at Bluffton to interact with speakers and Bluffton English faculty.

How to become a healthier person - Tuesday at Senior Center

Christine Schroeder of Healthe Habits for Living will present a free lunch and learn for seniors at noon on Tuesday, Nov. 14, at the Bluffton Senior Citizens Center, 132 N. Main St., Bluffton.

“Persons attending will learn how to become a healthier person,” said Schroeder, who holds a master’s of occupational therapy (MOT) degree from the University of Findlay.

She added that the program will focus on fitness and well-being and the ability to cope with everyday activities.

Her business is located in Ellerbrock Spine and Soft Tissue, 120 Main St., Suite A, Bluffton.

The Bluffton High School class of 1949 recently met for its 68th reunion.

After a year in Defiance, the 'Hammer' is back in its rightful home after a 33-26 Bluffton victory on Saturday, Nov. 11. The Beavers improved to 4-6 overall and 4-4 in the Heartland Conference as Defiance slipped to 2-8 and 2-6 in the HCAC. Bluffton has now won seven of its last eight against the Yellow Jackets for a 46-45-2 advantage in the all-time series.
