CINCINNATI, Ohio - The Bluffton University women’s basketball team continued their impressive streak on Wednesday, Jan. 6 with a 75-44 road win over the Mount St. Joseph University Lions. The victory pushed Bluffton to a perfect 12-0 on the year, as they stand alone atop the conference with a 5-0 mark. MSJ fell to 3-9 overall and 2-3 in HCAC action.

BLUFFTON, Ohio - The Bluffton University Beavers were denied a victory in a hard-fought battle with HCAC rival Mount St. Joseph on Wednesday, Jan. 6, by a final score of 81-67. With the loss, the Beavers dropped to  8-4 overall and 3-2 in conference competition. The Lions improved to 7-5 overall and 4-1 in the HCAC.

Sarah Thompson, Executive Director of Christian Peacemaker Teams (CPT), will present her speech titled “Moving Toward Conflict” for Forum at 11 a.m. on Jan. 19 in Founders Hall. The event is free and open to the public.

It’s that time of year again. On Jan. 16, during halftime of the men’s basketball game against Hanover College, Bluffton University will reveal which students are in the J. Denny and Jenny Beaver suits.  The game will take place at 3 p.m. in the Sommer Center.

The Peace, Pies and Prophets tour is coming to Bluffton University at 7 p.m. on Jan. 18 in Yoder Recital Hall. Since March 2012, Ted & Company has been collaborating with Christian Peacemaker Teams and local peacemakers to raise funds and awareness for peace. The evening includes the show, “I’d Like to Buy an Enemy,” a satire that explores peace, justice and the American way.

The Pandora United Methodist Church will host a free Community Meal on Wednesday Jan. 27  from 5:30-7 p.m. in the church fellowship hall, 108 E. Washington Street, Pandora. The meal this month is provided by Seven O’Clock Flock. The menu is Tomato Soup, Grilled Cheese Sandwiches, Relishes, Dessert and beverage.
