Bluffton University Head Coach Denny Dorrel and his staff announce that Bluffton University football will host a free one-day youth clinic on Thursday, July 24.
Coach Dorrel is anticipating his first season at the helm of Bluffton's football team. Dorrel, along with his newly-constructed staff and team, will direct the clinic on campus of Bluffton University on Thursday, July 24, from 6-8:30 p.m.
On June 23 the Bluffton Shuffleboard Club held their first-ever Battle of the Sexes tournament, according to Ralph Peterson, president of the club.
In a tight match, the men won 21-17. Four rounds were played with the men leading by four points after the first round and then holding on to win by just four points.
One shuffler, Sylvia Smith, won all four of her matches.
BVH Associate Named a Top 40 Under 40 Laboratory Leader Blanchard Valley Hospital laboratory manager Shawn Griggs has been named one of the American Society for Clinical Pathology’s (ASCP) “40 Under 40” for his achievements in the medical laboratory field.
Griggs has been a BVH laboratory associate for the past 15 years. A graduate of Ohio Northern University, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in medical technology and completed a laboratory externship at the Boston V.A. Medical Center School of Medical Technology in Boston, Mass.
