Former resident Judith Greavu judge of ArtSpace/Lima photo exhibit
The ArtSpace/Lima Photography Club will present its Annual Juried Exhibition from Jan. 6 through Feb. 18 in The Ellen Nelson Gallery at ArtSpace.
The exhibit will feature 101 photographs by 45 area adult photographers, chosen from an entry list of 198 photographs by 64 photographers. Entry categories include: Animals, Architecture, Black and White, Landscape, Plants, Portraiture, Special Effects, Still Life, Miscellaneous, and Youth. Nine photographs by four youth photographers were also accepted into the show.
Judges for this year's exhibit were Judith Greavu, Professor of Art Emerita, Ohio Northern University, and Richard Neuman, nationally know outdoor photographer from New Knoxville.
An Opening Reception will be held on Friday, Jan. 6, from 6:30-8:30 p.m.; prizes will be awarded in a ceremony beginning at 7:15 p.m.
Prizes include Best of Show, the Photography Club Merit Award, the Husky Lima Refinery Best Color Award, the Husky Lima Refinery Best Black and White Award, the Allen County Landscape Award, the Otterbein Senior Award, The Dianne O'Brien Nature Award, and First, Second, and Third Place in each entry category. There will also be several awards in the youth category.
ArtSpace/Lima is a not-for-profit arts organization with a mission to promote the arts in northwest Ohio and to provide artists with a venue to present and sell their work. ArtSpace/Lima is supported in part by a grant from the Ohio Arts Council.
