Bluffton to host Flute Day on Feb. 23
Katherine Borst Jones, founder of The Ohio State University Flute Troupe, will present master class sessions for flute students and instructors as part of Bluffton University's Flute Day, Thursday, Feb. 23, in Yoder Recital Hall.
Participants should bring their flutes for the hour long sessions, the first of which will open the Flute Day program at 2 p.m. Students will have the chance to perform and receive feedback from Jones, a professor of flute at Ohio State who formed the troupe in 1985.
The free program will conclude at 4 p.m. with an open rehearsal featuring the Ohio State ensemble, which, that evening, will perform a Bluffton Artist Series concert at 7:30 p.m. in Yoder Recital Hall.
Students and instructors interested in attending Flute Day should register online at www.bluffton.edu/mus/fluteday/
