Hint: How about if I told you it can be substituted in recipes calling for pumpkin, and comes in a large variety of color and shapes, and has funny names like: Red Eye, Hubbard, Buttercup, Butternut, Jarradale, Long Island Cheese, Sweet Dumpling, and Acorn?

If you'd like to learn more about Winter Squash in particular or starting flowers and veggies from seeds. Please join the garden club meeting at the library.
Along with the seed starting discussion, Member's will also show samples of winter squash from their winter storage areas. Food using winter squash will be available for sampling during the meeting. Visitors are welcome.
