Rally Sunday and ice cream social at English Lutheran Church
The community is invited to join the people of English Lutheran Church for Rally Sunday and an ice cream social on Sunday, Sept. 16, according to Rev. Kevin Mohr, pastor.
The theme for this year's event is S.H.I.N.E.!
"First, we will gather for worship of Jesus as the Light of the World. During the worship service three young members of the congregation will receive their 3rd grade gift Bibles," he said.
The young people are Sydnee Davis, daughter of Connie and David Davis of Celina, Lauren Gray, daughter of Dan and Jennifer Gray of Bluffton, and Reagan Mittendorf, daughter of Allison and Steve Mittendorf, also of Bluffton.
"Following worship we will join in an intergenerational event of study, fun, games and crafts, as we learn how to S.H.I.N.E.--that is, share his incredible news everywhere," said Rev. Mohr.
From 2-4 p.m. is the church annual ice cream social outside - weather permitting - on the church greenspace. Persons may create your own sundaes, enjoy fresh-popped popcorn, and have fun playing lawn games.
For more information, contact the church office at 419-358-2591 or by email at [email protected]. English Lutheran Church is located at 111 Grove St., on the corner of Grove and Jackson streets.
