Forum speaker to discuss social media’s impact on Oct. 2
How social media can affect every aspect of a person’s life will be Tiffany Sellers’ topic for a Bluffton University Forum at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 2, in Bluffton’s Founders Hall.
Her presentation, “How Technology Impacts the Pieces of Me,” is free and open to the public.
A corporate strategist and human resource professional, Sellers is senior manager for university relations with Chicago-based Abbott Laboratories, a global pharmaceutical and health care products company. She previously worked for the Walt Disney World Co. and in global college relations at ARAMARK, which provides food services, facilities management and uniform and career apparel to education, health care institutions and other businesses.
Sellers holds a bachelor’s degree from Norfolk State University and a master of business administration degree from the University of Phoenix. The sister of Dr. Crystal Sellers Battle, an assistant professor of music at Bluffton, she is also the founder of Girls Empowered to Master Self (GEMS), a nonprofit organization that teaches girls to aspire to greatness, achievement and leadership.
The forum is co-sponsored by Bluffton’s academic affairs office and Project H.O.M.E. (Hope, Opportunity, Mentorship and Education). Funding was awarded to Project H.O.M.E. by an Ohio Foundation of Independent Colleges grant program.
