Tips on fall tree maintenance Tuesday PM at the library
Now is a great time to perform maintenance on your existing trees and to plant new trees. according to members of the Gardeners' of Bluffton/Pandora Area.
A free program, open to the public, on fall tree maintenance takes place from 6:30 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 7, in the lower level of the Bluffton Public Library.
Fall planted trees have a huge head-start on trees planted in the spring, because they've already gone through the planting shock in the fall, and started growing roots in their new location.
Joanne Antibus, former chairperson for the Bluffton Tree Commission, is the speaker. Last month Antibus gave members of the club an informative walking tour of the Bluffton University trees.
Persons wanting more information on the program may contact Victoria Zeits at [email protected].
