Ronald Chidester was born in Bluffton
Ronald K. "Ron" Chidester, 78, of Millbury, died Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2017, at St. Luke's Hospital. Ron was born on Oct. 6, 1938, in Bluffton, Ohio, to Kenneth and Pauline (Eikenbury) Chidester. He married Glenna Myer on Oct. 5, 1957. Ron served in the United States Navy.
Ron was a lifetime member of the American Quarter Horse Association.
Ron graduated from The Ohio State University.
He was a member of the Ohio Trucking Association, along with owning and operating Tri-State Expediting for over 40 years with his wife, Glenna, Tri-State will continue to be operated by his family.
Ron is survived by his wife, Glenna; and his son, Rodney Chidester; siblings, Tom Chidester, Mick Chidester, Robert Chidester, Deb Luginbuhl and half-sister, Cheryl Schmiesing. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Judith Kingerly.
Friends will be received Tuesday, Aug. 22, from 6-8 p.m. at Witzler Shank, 222 East South Boundary St., Perrysburg, Ohio (419-874-3133).
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2017 at Fort Meigs Union Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Ron's name to The Toledo Area Humane Society. Condolences may be made to the family at:
