The Hilty Preschool and Child Care was selected as one of the Putnam County Foundation's first grant recipients.

According to the new foundation, "Congratulations to the five non-profit organizations chosen to receive one of our first grants.

"We gave $500 to each of them to help with the recent struggles brought on by the pandemic. We are excited to help them and appreciate how they help our community.

"Thank you to all of our applicants and a special thank you again to Mercy Health as well as a private donor both for their donations and helping make these grants possible."

Other Putnam County organizations who received the grant include:

* The Leipsic Community Center
* Big Brothers Big Sisters of Putnam County
