Bird's-eye-view a half century past
Here's Bluffton from the air in a photo taken in 1966.
As a reference point, the Bluffton elementary building is near the center of the photo, more closely to 11 o'clock.
Main Street is horozontal midway in the photo.
The Bluffton College old baseball diamond is on the top left corner.
Perhaps the biggest change is that the municipal parking lot behind CVS Pharmacy does not yet exist. And several structures near the bottom of the photo show buildings on Vance Street no longer standing.
Also, look at the St. Mary's Catholic Church yard. You can see the outline of a baseball diamond in the area where the current church now stands.
