Self-defense class returns to Jacomet's Martial Arts on May 17
From 10:30-11:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 17, Jacomet’s Martial Arts, 121 S Main St, will host a self-defense class for ages 13 to adult. A similar class was held on December 7, 2024.
Owner/instructor Tony Jacomet explains, “This class will teach and practice several simple but highly effective techniques to address a variety of threatening scenarios. Prevention strategies, assertive de-escalation and what to do after a self-defense event will also be discussed.”
Doors will open at 10:15 a.m. All ability levels are welcome. The cost of the class is $5 per person.
Cold water will be available for $1, or you're welcome to bring water from home.
To ensure quality instruction, space is limited and places in the program are not reserved until payment is made.
To register, text or call 567-204-8142, send a FB Message to Jacomet's Martial Arts, or use the sign-up sheets in the Dojo, which is on the lower level between the Shannon Theatre and Book Reviews. The Dojo is open 4:10-8:30 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
If a participant is under 18 years of age, a parent or guardian will need to sign the waiver.
