One way or another, we are all affected by cancer and raising awareness is crucial to finding a cure. In that spirit, the Bluffton community will host the 2011 American Cancer Society's "Relay For Life" on Friday and Saturday, June 24 and 25. The event will be held at Bluffton University's Salzman Stadium with the theme, "Birthdays for a Cure."

This event celebrates the many survivors in our own community, and remembers those who did not win their respective fights with cancer.

First National Bank - one of the Gold Sponsors for the event - will host a tent and Energy shot bar from 5:30-9:00 p.m., on Friday where assorted chilled energy shots along with wristbands and other giveaways will be passed out to support the cause.

With the phrase "Kasasa for the Cure" adorning bright pink T-shirts, the First National team should be very easy to spot in the crowd. Kasasa is First National's new brand of free checking accounts that offer consumer-first benefits and services.
