Here's a look at the Bluffton College campus from the air in 1949. We know the year because Founders Hall is under construction. It's on the top of the photo just to the right of center.
What else is in this photo?
• The college "Barn," which was the previous gymnasium
• The college heating plant (check out the smoke stack), in front of the Barn
• A drive way around College Hall
• Several houses in the neighborhood of the college that are now either parking lots or green spaces
• College Avenue connecting with Bentley Road
• Baseball diamond, now a green space on campus
• Lincon Hall and Beaverburg (housing for married couples, to the immediate left of Lincoln Hall)
• Clay tennis courts near Riley Creek (to the left of College Avenue)
