Sally Ann Parish, 78, died Aug. 25, 2017, at The Villa at Silverbell Estates in Lake Orion, Michigan.   

She was born on April 5, 193, in Houktown, Ohio, to Carson and Martha (Schnegg) Parish who preceded her in death.

Sally spent her childhood in Bluffton, Ohio. After her marriage to Alex Wolff, she moved to Boyne City, Michigan, where she raised her family. Sally had a Bachelor’s of Art from Aquinas College and also received her LPN degree from Northwestern Michigan College.  She worked as an LPN for Grandvue Medical Center in Michigan.

Ronald K. "Ron" Chidester, 78, of Millbury, died Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2017, at St. Luke's Hospital. Ron was born on Oct. 6, 1938, in Bluffton, Ohio, to Kenneth and Pauline (Eikenbury) Chidester. He married Glenna Myer on Oct. 5, 1957. Ron served  in the United States Navy.

Ron was  a lifetime member of the American Quarter Horse Association.

Ron graduated from The Ohio State University.

David L. Ernest, 71, died Aug. 19, 2017, at the Ocala Regional Medical Center in Ocala, Florida.  David was born Feb. 22, 1946, in Findlay to the late Delmer and Juanita (Gearing) Ernest. On Feb. 25, 1967 he married Nancy Cupples Ernest and she survives.

Frederick J. Nordhaus, 74, of Ottawa died at 9:35 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2017, at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, Columbus. He was born March 1, 1943, in Ottawa to the late Arthur A. and Louise L. (Conn) Nordhaus. His longtime girlfriend, Patricia Goodkin survives in Ottawa.

Harry "Bill" Edward Snyder, 89, died July 29, 2017, at Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton.Harry "Bill" was born Aug. 31, 1927, in Beaverdam, to Lawrence and Margaret (Bickmier) Snyder who preceded him in death.

On Feb. 22, 1948, he married Josephine Bassitt Snyder who preceded him in death on June 8, 1988. Bill retired from Lima Ford Engine Plant where he was a Hi-Lo driver.  He enjoyed music, woodworking, his grandchildren and riding the 4-wheeler with them.

Lois M. Layne, 75, died July 24, 2017, at her residence.  Lois was born Jan. 29, 1942, in Bluffton to the late Louis and Gladys (Schick) Criblez. 

After graduating from Bluffton High School, Lois moved to Texas.  While living in Texas, Lois was an inspector at Deluxe Check Printing Company.  Upon moving back to Ohio, she worked at Monsanto Chemicals for 15 years as a quality control inspector.  She later worked at Wilson Football Factory in Ada, as a waitress at Ingalls Restaurant and at Triplett Corporation both in Bluffton.
