25-year volunteer at Et Cetera Shop

Evelyn Luginbuhl, 94, died July 10, 2017, at the Mennonite Memorial Home in Bluffton.  Evelyn was born Jan. 25, 1923, in Bucyrus, Ohio, to the late Russell and Lula (Smith) Johnson. On May 26, 1946, she married Darvin Luginbuhl who preceded her in death on April 26, 2013.

He opened the first plastic surgical practice at the Toledo Clinic

Dr. James G. Diller, 88, a plastic surgeon in Toledo, Ohio, for more than 20 years, died on July 3, 2017.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Jean (Miller); daughters, Collette Chattopadhyay, Janelle, Jeanine, and Nicole Diller; a son, Christopher Diller; seven grandchildren, Jacqueline Chattopadhyay, Simca and Luke Bouma, Elena and Celia Diller, James and Grant Murphy; and a sister, Ruth (Diller) Sawyer and a brother, Timothy Diller.

Adam James Schattschneider, 51, died June 26, 2017, at St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima. Adam was born March 24, 1966, in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, to Donald and Marion (Mistelske) Schattschneider.  

Adam received his bachelor’s degree from University of Minnesota - Duluth, his Master's of Music from Indiana University - Bloomington and his Doctor of Music in Woodwind Pedagogy from Indiana University - Bloomington. Adam was a professor of music at Bluffton University. He was a member of English Lutheran Church in Bluffton.

Douglas Parkins, 77, died Monday, June 26, 2017, at Lost Creek Care Center in Lima. He was born Sept. 27, 1939, in McComb to William and Katherine Parkins who preceded him in death.

Douglas graduated from Beaverdam High School and was a maintenance man at Ex-Cello in Bluffton for many years. He was an avid outdoors-man and hunter.

Marie R. Beach, 18, died June 19, 2017. Marie was born September 4, 1998, in Lima, to Scott D. and Jeanne M. (Nadeau) Beach who survive in Lima.

Marie had attended Shawnee High School, and graduated from ACE Academy. She soccer and played for Shawnee High School, Allen East High School and AC Elite Soccer Club. Marie was an active member of the 4-H and Our Lady Of Lourdes Catholic Church in Ada.
