The Bluffton University women's soccer team trailed just 1-0 before the floodgates opened in minute 54. Hanover piled up six tallies in a span of just over 30 minutes en route to the 7-0 shutout on Sunday, Oct. 3. Bluffton fell to 4-5 and 1-1 in the Heartland Conference, while the Panthers improved to 7-0-2 and 2-0 in the Heartland Conference.

Bluffton University nearly pulled off the upset of Hanover College on Sunday, Oct. 3, but the Panthers scored with 10 minutes to play and again with a minute left in overtime for a 2-1 victory. Bluffton slipped to 4-4 overall and 0-2 in the Heartland Conference, while Hanover improved to 6-3-1 and 2-0 in the HCAC.

The Beavers went up 1-0 at the 38:25 mark when a beautiful cross from Maximilian Pierce (Middletown/Lebanon) connected with JJ Meyer (Cincinnati/Oak Hills) and he did the rest, finding the upper right corner of the target area for his second goal of the season!

The visiting Bluffton volleyball team won a tough four-setter over Patrick Henry in a non-conference bout Monday evening, October 4.

The Lady Pirate record improved to 11-7 overall with the 25-22, 22-25, 25-16, 25-20 victory.

PH fell to 5-10 with the defeat.

Senior Kylie Stackhouse led Bluffton with 25 kills and three blocks. She also served up a pair of aces. Freshman Ayla Grandey knocked down a season-high 18 kills.

The Bluffton boys soccer team tallied five goals in the first 19 minutes and cruised to an 8-1 win over visiting Lincolnview in a Northwest Conference mismatch Monday evening, October 4. (VIDEO https://youtu.be/bD2jKsbeQNM)

The ninth-ranked Pirates improved to 10-2-1 overall and 4-0 in the NWC with their fifth consecutive victory. Bluffton has also now won 34 NWC matches in a row.

The Lancers fell to 4-9 and 2-2 in the NWC after the defeat.

The Bluffton University men shot a respectable 321 on day one of the HCAC Preview at Miami Whitewater Forest on Saturday, Oct. 2, 2021. Bluffton is currently in 6th place, just 11 strokes behind 2nd place Rose-Hulman (310).

Leading the way was senior Dominic Castelvetere (Ontario) who stands 16th overall after firing a 78 on Saturday. Juniors Clay Quellhorst (St. Marys/Memorial) and Nathan Eberle (Grove City) are two strokes back with identical scores of 80 heading into round two.

Bluffton slipped to 1-3 overall and 0-1 in the Heartland Conference on a day when the 2000 Beaver football team was honored for their HCAC title.
