 Seniors Chad Gundy of Flanagan, Ill., and Kati O’Neill of Wapakoneta, Ohio, were crowned Bluffton University’s Homecoming king and queen at halftime of the annual Homecoming football game on Oct. 15.
 
Other seniors on the Homecoming court were John Eckenrode of Oregon, Ohio, and Mickie Gonwick of Hicksville, Ohio. Junior attendants were Malik Jackson of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Elaina Alpeter of Galloway, Ohio, while sophomore attendants were Dan Gregg of Ontario, Ohio, and Erika Motiejunas of Mentor, Ohio.

FRANKLIN, Ind. - The Bluffton University volleyball team hit the road for a matchup with the Franklin College Grizzlies on Saturday, Oct. 15. The Beavers battled with the Grizzlies through four tough sets for the win (22-25, 25-22, 25-18, 26-24). Bluffton kept its perfect 5-0 Heartland Conference record intact, improving to 17-7 overall, while Franklin dropped to 2-4 in the conference and 12-10 on the season.

OBERLIN, Ohio - The Bluffton University cross country team competed in its final tune-up for the HCAC Championship to be contested in two weeks’ time. The Oberlin College Inter-Regional Rumble brings together teams from at least four of the nation’s NCAA regions for large and fast fields. While not everyone ran their “A race”, there were a number of exceptional performances turned in.

HANOVER, Ind. - The Bluffton University men's soccer team battled to a 0-0 tie at the break, but Hanover netted four tallies in the second period for a 4-0 victory on Saturday, Oct, 15. Bluffton fell to 3-11 on the season with a 0-5 mark in the Heartland Conference, while Hanover improved to 11-3 and 4-1 in the HCAC.,

Matthew Eldridge broke through in the 58th minute, putting Hanover up 1-0 before a flurry of goals made the score 4-0 with just over 11 minutes to play.

Bluffton dropped to 0-10 overall and 0-5 in the Heartland Conference, while the Panthers improved to 7-5 on the season and 4-1 in the HCAC.
