Two massage therapists join Polished Nails and Body Salon

Joan Frederick of Polished Nails and Body Salon, 417 N. Main St., Bluffton, announces that two massage therapists are now on staff.

They are Rick Stoner, LMT, (in photo), and Courtney Reese.They offer a range of services including focus, anxiety relief and relaxation.

Five days ago in rural Bluffton

Snow cancelled Bluffton school on Feb. 27. But just five days earlier, on Feb. 23, some residents were diving into ponds. 

Here's a snapshot from a Facebook video post from Haley Tuttle. That's her husband, Bryce, taking a dive. Also in on the swim was Bryce's step-brother Evan Crooks.

Bluffton schools are cancelled today (Thursday, Feb. 27). The announcement was made at 7:25 a.m. on Ohio Alerts.

Bluffton men's bball team enters HCAC tourney

Like the women, Beavers face Anderson in opener

The 2020 Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Men's Basketball Championship will be held at Transylvania University Feb. 28-March 1.

Franklin College and Transylvania University both won a share of the regular season title, with 17-1 league marks, earning the No. 1 and No. 2 seeds.

Hanover College secured the No. 3 seed with Bluffton University claiming the No. 4 seed.

The No. 5 seed was awarded to Anderson University, while Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology claimed the last slot in the No. 6 seed.

Cincinnati musician performs in next Town Hall Concert

Show will open with Hogan's Alley, featuring Jason Fritsch and Benji Bergstrand

Zapruder Point from Cincinnati will perform in a 7 p.m., Saturday, Feb.29, Bluffton Town Hall Concert Series.

Hogan's Alley, the project of Bluffton local's Jason Fritsch and Benji Bergstrand will open the show. Hogan's Alley will play an acoustic set of their rootsy Americana. The band is described as “sharing songwriting duties, standing behind consistently strong lyrics and earnest performance.”
