Bluffton man sentenced in May 29 breaking and entering

A Bluffton man was recently sentenced in Allen County Common Pleas Court for his role in a breaking and entering incident on May 29, 2013. 

Bluffton police report officers responded at 1:17 a.m. to a report of a suspicious man in the area of the Family Dollar store, 111 Cherry St. Upon arriving, officers discovered broken glass in the front door. Officers observed a male leaving the store, and engaged in a brief foot chase. The man hid in some brush a short distance from the store.

Tips on showing veggies and flowers Saturday program at Bluffton library

The Gardener’s of the Bluffton/Pandora Area present a program to educate the public on how to prepare and show your flowers, fruits and vegetables at fairs and horticulture shows. 

The program is from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Saturday, July 27, at the Bluffton Public Library.

Club members will bring samples to be used as examples of good and bad entries, and the judge will also give advise on how to prep samples to receive better scores.  

Morning Songs at the Mustard Seed Café for Sunday Brunch

The Mustard Seed Café, 562 N. Main St., Bluffton, provides a special brunch menu on Saturdays and Sundays, and now there is another reason to try it out.

Wendy and Sara Chappell-Dick will be providing live music on Sunday mornings outside on the patio from 9:30-11 a.m.

The mother-daughter duo has been playing together for many years, but Wendy and Sara are now starting to perform in public, at the Bluffton Farmers' Market, nursing homes, and the Mustard Seed.

Tickets now on sale for Sept. 28 Awaken Fest'

Tickets are now on sale for the Saturday, Sept. 28, Awaken Fest’ to be held in at the Hancock County Fairgrounds, 1017 E. Sandusky St., Findlay.

Awaken Festival is an event filled with the biggest names in Christian music, merchandise booths, food vendors and family friendly activities.

The Fest’ enlists the help of over 100 volunteers, secure in-kind donations, and rely on the generosity of supporters like you to make Awaken Fest affordable for as many people as possible.
