William J. “Bill” Hoffer, 70, died on Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2020, at 12:45 p.m. at his residence in Ada, surrounded by his family.
He was born on March 13, 1950 in Bluffton to the late Roy and Mary (Dunbar) Hoffer, Jr. On Feb. 2, 1979, Bill married Diana M. Newland and she survives in Ada.
Bill worked as a custodian at Ohio Northern University, Ada. He was a member of the Bluffton High School class of 1968.

The Bluffton post office has an assortment of holiday-related stamps for persons sending cards, gift packages and letter this holiday season.
These include stamps featuring:

• Christmas ornaments
• Kwanzaa
• Hanukkah
The postal service recommends the following ship by dates to keep in mind for gifts to arrive on time:
• Friday, Dec. 18 - first class mail
• Saturday, Dec. 19 - Priority Mail Service
• Thursday, Dec. 23 - Priority Mail Express Service

Ruth Naylor, on being the BHS yearbook advisor:
"I was the Buccaneer yearbook advisor. Matt Ziessler, a senior and our staff artist in 1981, created some lovely artwork for the interior of the book and also designed the cover which features two large foaming waves on a sea of blue.
"If you look very closely at the white foam, you can see the words “Pink Floyd,” the name of a popular singing group that some but certainly not everyone appreciated in the Eighties.
New membership program connecting its network of entrepreneurs and supporters

Bluffton Center for Entrepreneurs presented its 2019-2020 annual report at an online member meeting of the Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce on Nov. 13.
Members of the board of directors reviewed how the 501(c)(3) nonprofit has most recently served the four counties surrounding Bluffton.
During this period, the business incubator provided 10 small group events and conducted the Ropp Triplett Business Plan Competition, which awarded $6,000 in business expense reimbursement.
