Jase loves the reading challenge

Jase Gleason took Mr. Closson’s reading challenge very seriously. He misses Kindergarten and his classmates so much but couldn’t wait to tell his teacher, Mrs. Warner, every step of progress he made. He has read over 1,000 minutes and is motivated to keep going. The Icon will post photos of students learning in an at-home setting. No Festival of Wheels this year

After careful consideration the Bluffton Lions Foundation along with the Festival of Wheels Committee have decided to cancel Bluffton's 53rd annual Festival of Wheels Car Show, according to Dan Diller, chair of the event.

The show was originally set for Friday,  June 19, and the cancellation is due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

"We hope to continue this annual festival in 2021 and will see you then," said Diller.

13 ducklings on Little Riley

The Icon finally succeeded in capturing the LIttle Riley Creek ducklings in one photo – we count 13 following their mother.

This photo was taken from the bridge on Bentley Road looking toward the university, in case you'd like to see them in person. They perform in that location daily.

Below is our attempt to photograph them earlier in the week. At that point the hadn't learned the parade formation demonstrated in today's photo.
