Click here for Peggy Ann Young Bowyer’s obituary.

Peggy Ann Bowyer (Young) lived a long life and devoted herself to raising her children through various bumps, bruises, and more than a few broken limbs. Ever resourceful, she taught herself how to can and freeze vegetables from the family’s large garden and her freezer jam (grape, strawberry, peach, and black raspberry) was much enjoyed by her family.

The stories it could tell

If you've noticed the attractive green and white sign in the Citizens National Bank window, now you know where it came from. On the face of the one-time CNB clock, it witnessed every goings-on of Main Street from the departure of the interurban, Dillinger's visit, the end of State Route 25 through town, and every parade in Bluffton from 1920 to about 1969.
