We experienced 3.9 inches of weekend snowfall

January's temperatures ranged from 11 to 46 degrees

The area experienced 3.9 inches of snowfall on Jan. 30 and 31, according to Guy Verhoff, Pandora weather observer.

That total brings January’s snowfall to 8. 1 inches, believe it or not. Meanwhile, aside from snowfall, the average January 2021 daily temperature was 29. 5 degrees, with the normal January average at 25.4.

Temperatures ranged from a high on 46 on Jan. 14, to a low of 11 on Jan. 23.  The daily weather summary is in the chart below.

Frosty and family back in town

We've not talked with Frosty and family for months. Suddenly, they sort of dropped out of the sky like they usually do. Here's some day-old family portraits. Bluffton Hospital offers vaccine clinic Friday

For persons 70 and older • You must register in advance

Bluffton Hospital will offer another vaccination clinic for the community.

In this phase, individuals 70 and older will be available to receive the vaccination in a  clinic held on Friday, Feb. 5 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

To register, please 419.369.2323 Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

There are a limited number of vaccines available, therefore vaccines will be given on a first call, first-served basis. A caregiver or loved one may make an appointment on behalf of an eligible senior.

Bluffton schools closed on Feb. 2

Following an announced 2-hour delay last evening, Bluffton schools announced at 7:51 a.m. today (Tuesday, Feb. 2) that school is closed for the day.
