Several Bluffton area Vacation Bible Schools are planned this summer. Here’s a summary of those events made available to the Icon, listed in date order. Churches with VBS details not on this list may contact the Icon at [email protected]

Changes coming Friday evening and Saturday on I-75 Findlay

The following traffic impacts will occur on Interstate 75 in Findlay's Lima Avenue and U.S. 68/state Route 15 beginning late Friday evening, June 7 into Saturday morning, June 8:

The northbound ramps at U.S. 68/state Route 15 at Lima Avenue on the east side of U.S. 68/state Route 15, near Cooper Tire, will reopen following construction related to a roundabout.

Graveside memorial service for Ruth Amstutz on June 22

A graveside memorial service is planned for 11 a.m., Saturday, June 22, Ebenezer Menonite Church cemetery for Ruth E. Amstutz, 90, who died Sept.4, 2018.

Pool party - free admission to first 200 on June 15

Riley Creek Arbor is sponsoring free pool admission for the first 200 people at the Bluffton Community Pool from 1 – 6 p.m. on Saturday, June 15.

Riley Creek Arbor of Gleaner Life Insurance Society regularly supports the local community through monetary and volunteer efforts. The Arbor consists of members from Bluffton, Lima and surrounding communities.

Fun with LEGO at the library today

Bluffton Public Library hosts LEGO-building fun today, Friday, June 7 from 3-5 p.m. in the lower level room. Bring your own LEGOs or use the library's.

Open to all ages and no registration is required. 

Sign-up for swim lessons at ONU

Registration for the ONU Swimming & Diving Fall Swim Lessons is now open. The lesson dates are Sunday evenings from September 8 through October 6.

These lessons are led by ONU students and instructors, and beginner swimmers receive one-on-one training.

"Lessons do tend to fill up quickly, so I strongly encourage registering as soon as possible if you are interested in having your kids participate," says Austin Veltman, Head Swimming & Diving Coach at ONU.
