Ohio Governor Mike DeWine provided the following updates on the status of the state's response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
MASKS IN SCHOOLS
Governor DeWine announced that the Ohio Department of Health will issue a health order requiring that K-12 children wear face coverings while at school. The new mandate comes after the Ohio Children's Hospital Association and American Academy of Pediatrics Ohio Chapter issued a joint letter recommending widespread use of masks in schools with the following exceptions:

Bluffton Family Recreation is now accepting registrations for its fall U6 soccer leagues, and its third and fourth grade developmental volleyball leagues, according to Amy Byers, BFR sports coordinator.
“BFR is working hard to stay up to date with the current protocols to provide a safe opportunity for young athletes to participate in their favorite sports,” Byers added.
What would have been the Bluffton community’s 17th annual Fall Festival has been cancelled due to the ongoing threat of Coronavirus.
Usually taking place on the fourth Saturday of September, Fall Festival Committee members have been monitoring the situation and discussing plans for weeks, and ultimately came to the difficult decision to cancel the event.
All participating organizations have expressed their desire to continue the Festival in 2021.
