There’s a new eatery in town, and it’s only open during home Bluffton High School football games.
The Bluffton Music Boosters, who operate the concession stand at Harmon Field, unveiled new choices to its traditional Friday night specials. The grand opening is at the first home football game, Friday, Aug. 30, vs. Cory-Rawson.
According to Amy Lehman Mikesell, booster president, “The concession stand will feature new items showcasing local vendors. Our goal is to provide affordable meals for families coming to enjoy the football game.”
Jason Granger, Bluffton Junior High football coach, talks in the huddle during the second day of practice and the first day with pads. The junior high opens the season hosting Allen East at 5 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 29. It's the first game of an eight-game schedule. Check out the additional photos in this series.

FROM ADA ICON - How does your garden grow?
A garden in Ada this summer puts on a one-of-a-kind show this month. It’s in the historic Ada railroad depot park on Main Street.
Certainly worth a trip to Ada, despite that it lacks silver bells, cockleshells and pretty maids all in a row. The flowers in bloom are inspiring. You'll find daylillies, rudbeckia, hydrangea, vinca, blue-eyed Mary, coneflowers, celosia, a red hibiscus and several unidentified beauties.
