Vegetable trade and more at Buckeye park

Transition Bluffton invites the community to the Buckeye park at 7 p.m., Tuesday, July 23, for an evening of fun and discussion. 

Bring any abundance of vegetables you would like to trade or share.  Join in a discussion about Robin Kimmerer's Potawatomi ideal of Honorable Harvest set forth in her book, Braiding Sweetgrass. "Let's explore what following such an ideal would mean for you, your neighbors and the community at large,”said Peter Badertscher of Transition Bluffton.

Dari Freeze hosts blood drive this Friday

The Dari Freeze, 595 S. Main,  is hosting a blood drive Friday, July 19, from 1 to 7 p.m., with the American Red Cross. 

Donate blood and you'll receive a free Reverse Buckeye Sundae.

Spectrum Salon's 5th anniversary celebration Friday

Open house from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Spectrum Salon, 422 N. Main St., celebrates its 5th annniversary with an open house from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Friday, July 19, according to Mandy Kinn, owner.

“Everyone is welcome to stop in to take a tour of the salon and see what has all changed from our opening date in 2014,”  said Kinn. “We will have an ice cream bar, door prizes, giveaways and more.”
