He didn't have to go to the Super Bowl to get a game ball

In a manner of speaking, the Super Bowl came to Bill Ramseyer

Bill Ramseyer didn’t have to go to the Super Bowl to get a game ball. The Super Bowl came to him, in a manner of speaking.

The Bluffton High School and Bluffton College student athlete, and once again Bluffton resident, Ramseyer was presented a Super Bowl football directly from Wilson’s Sporting Goods in Ada. All Super Bowl footballs are created by Wilson’s in Ada.

Hey, that ball was made in Ada!

In Ada, they say, "You can't have a Super Bowl without Ada." Every Super Bowl football since Super Bowl I was made in Ada at Wilson Sporting Goods. This photo is a perfect pose displaying the LV logo.

MEN'S BASKETBALL
SATURDAY - The Bluffton University men's basketball team traveled to Mount St. Joseph on Saturday, Feb. 6, with an unblemished record to take on the Lions who had yet to garner their first win. The script was flipped at MSJ as the Beavers saw their 10-game winning streak come to a screeching halt. The Mount defense was up the task in a 58-37 shutdown of the Beavers who now stand 10-1, while MSJ improved to 1-9.

Forgotten Bluffton: Meet a BHS graduate with 4 Super Bowl rings

Neil Schmidt could be Bluffton HS's all-time most outstanding male athlete

Would you believe that a Bluffton High School graduate earned four Super Bowl rings? That honor goes to Neil Schmidt’s collection, who might well be the best male athlete to graduate from BHS.

The 1940s-era Bluffton High School athletic standout in football and basketball started in both sports at Purdue, was drafted by the Chicago Cardinals and became a scout for the San Francisco 49ers.

He was the only Pirate to be named first team all-Ohio in two sports the same season, in football and basketball.
